We're in Thailand. Chaweng beach in Koh Samui, at the Amari Resort. Hong Kong as a hub for travelling in East-Asia is perfect as most destinations are really inexpensive (What about a weekend trip to Shangai for CDN $150, flight, hotel and breakfast included?)
Anyhow, wandering down the streets of Chaweng beach, looking at a place to have supper, we stopped the first night at some tourist trap on the main strip; food was bad and expensive. Second night, we walked farther and saw 'Ninja crepes' which was packed. We kept walking and took a chance on Aladdin, off the main strip. Glad we did; food was very good, plenty, and inexpensive. Service was extremely good and polite.
I think these guys suffer for not being on the main strip as tourists don't seem to venture much outside of it. But they should!
Anyway, the next day, we tried the Ninja Crepes because it seemed so popular; well, it's cheap but, ain't all that great. We came back to Aladdin two days later.
