Hong Kong: Green Mouse Restaurant

For Valentine's day, we decided to check out The Green Mouse in Central.

We were a bit surprised that the place was not busier on this special occasion but, as time went on, it started filling-up. The owner/chef Dimitri was in and out of the kitchen and chatted with us, describing the dishes and telling us a bit about his restaurant endeavors. It is clear that Dimitri is very passionate about what he does.

The food itself was nice, although very traditionally prepared (more French tradition than nouvelle-cuisine). The ingredients are fresh and it seems that a particular attention has been put at sourcing them.

All and all, we had a good time and I'd like to go back on a regular night to see how the quality/food/price are. This could potentially become a restaurant we'd want to go on nights when I don't feel like cooking.

Sweetie Smoked Goose Foie Gras, Home Made Brioche and Prune Gelee

(It was their special Valentine's menu, so, there was a big premium added which, when compared to other restaurants, wasn't too bad)
